While taking my lunch, I observed a couple of Adult Monarchs flying in a Southerly direction, along Interstate 90, near some roadside patches of Prairie wildflowers, (including Goldenrods). I often see Adult Monarchs in the Autumn, flying in a South, to South-West direction, in the middle of the day. The Weather here was clear, sunny and warm, with a westerly breeze. I hate to think how many Monarchs are killed by vehicle traffic, as they fly across roadways.
