Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/06/2012

Number: 2

Two of our regular females sighted at the front feeder early this afternoon. The first one, still small and I think quite young, was just perched for a few minutes and not feeding (except on a passing insect or two) while I was watching. She then flew off. The second one was hovering and feeding. No sightings at dusk, which is unusual. This may be close to the end for the season here, other than maybe a late migrant or two from further north. :(
