As of Sept 2, I still had approx 20 Hummingbirds,with 12 being male. As of 9/6, I have 2 left,and they are female. They were late in coming this year by about 3 weeks. However, at the peak of summer,July and August, we counted 44 birds. The past 5 years we have had 40 birds and over. We are very lucky. People have actually seen them driving by and stopped and taken pics. We never realized we had so many until others told us how few they have. We use single station feeders,and plant a variety of flowers.
