Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/07/2012

Number: 4

Another female showed up this morning. There may even be 6 araound today (plus the young male) It was hard to figure out this morning for they were all cruising so quickly between the 6 feeders. This just in, one of the females was feeding and then another came over to tell her to move on and then they both flew off chasing each other and flew right into our garage. Heard that they go into garages because they eat the little bugs in the peaks. Over the years there would be hummers in the garage, my husband would get on a ladder and carefully take them down and take them outside. Then the other year there was this female that would come in there, that is when I did research and found out they eat the little bugs. So now I let them be and usually put a feeder in there lower so that they can eat and then head out if they want. I am always learning with these little birds.
