Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/09/2012

Number: 4

I have a few left. Four at one time was the most I counted. It's getting easier now to tell juveniles sexes. They are getting larger. I have seen one adult female, and 3 juveniles in the yard at one time. My last resident male left on Sept 5th the exact same day as last year. Three days later I have an adult male. A migrate perhaps from further north. It's not as plump as the one that left on the 5th. Whish I had a camera handy at the perfect moment today. A squirrel was waling nearby the necter feeder, a juvenile hummer, swooped down to chase it away. I can't believe these birds, they did this to my German shepherd before. Little birds, but brave like an Eagle.
