I have had many birds last week, seems like they have thinned down a bit. They are the high light of my day. I have at least 1 male that is in charge of 1 feeder that he guards constantly. Could he be a juvenile? I have seen some amazing fights by the females last week that I wish I had on video...amazing beak fighting and circular, rotating flying to the sky.I feel depressed when they leave- like when my children leave for college or something! The backyard is filled with their little tiny chatter- I have definitely fallen for these tiny creatures..The females used to be in charge of all 3 of my feeders but lately the male has risen in power.
