Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/10/2012

Number: 3

Saw my first monarch of the fall. It was migrating to the SW at a good pace, 6' elevation AGL over dirt road and newly harrowed field. Drought is severe, but sunflowers are abundant and fresh for nectar. Not much else blooming. I drove to Del Rio 45 miles further north and saw 2 more possible sightings, but couldn't confirm them.
