I am still seeing at least 1 female hummingbird but only a few times a day. Was able to get up "close and personal" yesterday and she was checking me out too, possibly because I was wearing a red blouse. She looked small, so probably a juvenile, and I hope she stays around longer to tank up enough for her long journey. Also have been amazed to see a downy woodpecker at the hummer feeders, one spending a lot of time last week draining it dry. Maybe getting at the ants that get into the nectar???
