Six Monarchs and about as many Painted Ladies were "fueling up" at my Butterfly Bush. I have seen a few at a time most days since then. I do not seem to be on a major migration route, but a few Monarchs always stop at my Butterfly Bush in late August and early September. I am retired and miss sharing this with students.
