Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/12/2012

Number: 60

We took a slow cruise in our boat and observed 60 adults within 45 minutes all flying in a south-westerly direction. All were sighted over open water. The time was between 11:00 am - 11:45 am, bery light wind, clear sky around 70 degrees air temperature. The wind came up about an hour later and we didn't see as many, just about 10 more within 20 minutes. it was fun seeing them flitting and soaring.
