We now have 18 hummingbirds, they are very active. The activity this morning was so high that they looked like swarming giant bumble bees. The weather this morning was low 50's with rain and substantial wind. I still have eight smaller (16 oz. or less) feeders out. I saw 1 adult male Black-chinned, 1 juvenile male Black-chinned, and 2 juvenile male Rufous; I believe the rest of the crew were all black-chinned and rufous females. I did see 1 female Broad-tailled a couple days ago. The hummingbirds seemed to have hunkered down today, but I would imagine that many will be desperate to leave tomorrow morning, since the weather should be better.
