Not much time to observe today but was surprised to see one young female enjoying a prolonged visit to the front feeder this afternoon. When the front feeder got low a few days ago, there was some renewed activity at the back deck, but since the front got a refill they seem to prefer that one and as recently as yesterday have even gone back to fighting over it. This is later than I remember seeing them here in previous years and I keep expecting every sighting to be the last.
