still have female hummingbirds busy around the feeders. A cold front has dropped temperatures to around 60 degrees this afternoon. I keep expecting them to leave. Watched one feeding at our window feeder a little after sunset tonite using our room light to guide her. They are not aggressive and fighting like they were last week, just chirping around me and roosting on the blue spruce as I do yard work. I will miss the special sounds they make and seeing them perched along the clothesline discussing the day's activities.
