still feeding more than 1 gallon. they have eaten 112 pounds of generic sugar since july 20. 2 level cups of sugar makes one half gallon and i use tapwater and do not boil. 4 different size feeders lined under edge of carport only 12 feet apart. 20 ports total. i have and they seem to like pine and cedar trees.
