Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/14/2012

Number: 3

Still seeing much playing and feeding, along with high pitched chirping noises. Looks to be all adult females. No longer seeing males with red collars.Feeding begins early morning and continues until dark. Temperature is supposed to dip to 45 degrees tonight so it will be interesting to see if the feeding activity decreases or we lose hummers. Wind noises are very loud as they swoop and dive. These birds really like to play. Very dark green back color, white breast, most have dark gray heads. The chirping is high pitched tweeting-sound like their very own morse code.
