An immature female hummingbird flew into the glass front door of our nature center and unfortunately expired. The folks at the animal rescue place I took her to while still alive said it was "hummingbird week". Many young hummingbirds are unfamiliar with the hazards of migrating through "people space" and fall to hazards like glass windows. What a shame!
