Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/14/2012

Number: 4

I have 3 females still feeding regularly and one juvenile. The females are beginning to look chubby. I had one ruby throated juvenile(?) that was about 1/3 larger than the others. I wonder if it was a genetic anomoly. It was here for two days but has apparently moved on. It was very shy so I was unable to get a photo. I have 4 feeders up. It is cooling here in VA--now getting down into the 50's at night. My last sighting last year was just a few days away (Sept. 18th) so I fear I will lose my hummers soon.
