Our resident crew of four hummingbirds has moved on after several days of frenzied feeding and impressive combat. Just one showed up at the feeder briefly yesterday -- a fat female. I think she was migrating through. Very nervous, never lighting to feed, unlike the resident crew which got very comfortable with our yard and our presence. No sign of any at the feeder yet today.
