We were away for about a week, returning on the 12th. I had cleaned and filled all feeders just before we left because I was still seeing some hummers. Apparently, they fed while we were gone because the feeders had less than half of what I left for them. I cleaned and refilled the feeders on the 13th. But, I haven't seen any evidence of any hummers at all. Sorry to have them gone since they're so neat to watch! Last year, I had hummers until nearly mid October and the months after that were certainly not the normal Vermont winter. Maybe they're indicating the winter we can expect this year!!
