We have 4 or 5 hummingbirds that are actively feeding at our four hummer feeders around 7:00 a.m. and continue to feed into the morning. They are very active, sometimes fighting over a feeder. They seem to fly away later in the morning but return periodically and then usually feed for longer periods of time in the evening. We haven't seen any male hummingbirds. The hummers are noticably fattening up for their flight south.
