Seven Hummingbirds at my house. One a ruby throat male, one a juvinile sighted for sure this morning and the other 5 are females. one female seems dominant. All are becoming tolerannt of my three year old son wanting to sword fight with them. Female comes down looking him directly in the face, then moves off to feed. I spend as much time watching as I can with these amazing creatures. I have purchased two larger feeders because I am a student and work as well as a mother. The hummers don't seem to fight any less. If anything the male is busier.
