Monarch Larva Sighted

Date: 09/15/2012

Number: 1

At Monarch Waystation #271 I found a late 2nd instar monarch caterpillar on one of my Tropical milkweeds, the youngest instar in the yard I know of. The others I've found this week have been 5th instars or pupae. Looks like another long breeding season! No adults seen for a while, next week the pupae that I've been sheltering should start emerging.
