Breakfast begins at feeders 7:02 AM, 42 degrees, winds expected today 13 MPH.1 female is a resident, the rest of our small winged winders are guests.
Massed flowers being visited today: Pink Turtleheads, Black and Blue Salvia,
Pink Lantana, Orange Lantana, Petunias, Red Flowering Tobacco, Butterfly bushes, Dicentra Scandens. One female appears to be very small, and does not have the 'weight/size' of the others, Perhaps she will stay for a few days--we still monitor and fill 18 feeders throughout the habitat, and the masses of flowers may help her become a little larger for her journey South. We have never had 7 hummers in the hummingbird habit on Sept 16; but are thrilled and honored to host so many tiny guests.
