Here's one photo from yesterday, 9/11, taken by Clay Sutton ... EVERY Tall Sunflower along the trails at the Cape May Point State Park was covered with nectaring Monarchs.
It was hard to count. They were everywhere.
We estimated that we saw about 1,000 between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. while walking the Red Trail and the Yellow Trail at the Cape May Point State Park ... some floated by, migrating, while others nectared heavily on the Tall Sunflower, Boneset, and Mistflower growing along the park trails.
Bewitching and magical.
