Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/16/2012

Number: 7

Last several days have been clear, sunny, and warm in the afternoon. Seems to be a fairly constant stream of monarchs arriving from the north, feeding along the line of butterfly bushes , then leaving toward the southwest. In addition to Buddlea we have goldenrod, snakeroot, black eyed susans, and several varieties of sedum in bloom. Lots of butterflies, in addition to monarchs, and other pollinators arefeasting in the flowers.
