I just observed (at 6:00 p.m.) either a female or juvenile hummingbird at our feeder. I have not been bringing in our feeder at night, not having seen any hummingbirds for several days, and this morning I saw (this bird?) come to the feeder and leave right away. I rushed out, brought in the feeder, and made a new, warmer batch of food. The bird has visited the feeder several times today. Question: As temps drop, the food will cool off even during the day. Should I, therefore, start with food that is somewhat above room temperature? Alison
