Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/18/2012

Number: 2

I have been reporting two females over the last few days, but after close observation today I realize I might have an adult female and a juvenile male. One of the birds has one dark feather on its throat. At first I believed this to be a bug, but then realized it was a feather. The little guy sits on the red lantern, between the feeders at the back and the front and guards when he is not feeding. Bon voyage!
