I did not expect to see Monarchs moving down the shore of Lake Champlain, but there they were! A naturalist who works at the Echo Lake Aquarium and Science Center, which is right on the lake shore, told me she sees them frequently. I was busy with personal business, and did not try for more detail. But I did drive along the Lake shore, and saw them consistently, even if there were not many. The Lake is very low, because of this year's drought, and it just may be that the exposed shoreline favors Monarchs????
