On Saturday 15 September 2012 the monarchs starting flying strong around 12 noon over the 4 hours a total of approximately 2000 monarchs flew over Robert Moses Beach with the largest showing around 1pm. There was a fierce north wind, which caused the monarchs to fly lower to the ground to avoid the wind. The weather was 70's and sunny.
