Had not seen any hummers since Sept 14 until this afternoon around 3:00 p.m. when one quickly visited hanging impatiens and pansy basket, then left. Did not get a chance to see if male, female or juvie. Got very cold here last night. Close to a frost. Will keep the feeders up and fresh until risk of freezing. Will miss them so much and look forward to getting the odd glimpse again this fall and to their return next May. Will continue to follow their migration south.
