Sad story with happy ending. I was not at work at the Pet & Garden Center Saturday when this happened. A hummingbird flew in the door. Due to the high ceiling, they could not catch him with the bird net. They tried to lure him to a hummingbird feeder and flowers with no success. He flew around the store for hours until he collapsed. Amanda, who has had year of experience feeding baby bird, put him in a carrier to keep him warm and still. She fed him nectar with a syringe. He had no strength to take it from a feeder. When he started to move his wings she took him outside. Completely revived, she released him. She later saw him feeding from blossoms. Thank you, Amanda.
