I live about 1,500 feet from the Atlantic Ocean (Old Orchard Beach, Maine). I observed Monarch butterflies flying overhead continuously but widely spaced (one by one or sometimes two together) for about two hours going in a northeasterly direction. It is now 3:25 and I am still seeing them fly by sporadically...
