Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 09/19/2012

Number: 1

Oh my goodness, after last night's heavy rains and incredible winds, I saw my beautiful, large Monarch floating by my front yard and heading more or less in the southwesterly direction. Maybe he realized that it truly is time to leave. I'm seeing so many flying by as I drive to the mall, the supermarket or daycare (all in Scarborough). They are really out and about- and it appears that they are heading in the southerly direction. Good luck to all. The photo attached was taken at 4:43 pm on 9/15/12, feeding on my still blooming butterfly bush.
