Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/20/2012

Number: 5

Warmer this morning, 52 degrees with breeze 6 MPH, hummingbird guests started breakfast at the feeders and Black & Blue salvia 7:07 AM. Feeders were well used yesterday, as we used 10 cups of nectar this morning. Good to see some of our guests are becoming 'larger' for their Journey South. Favorite flowers today: Black & Blue salvia, Pink turtleheads, Dicentra scandens 'Athens Yellow,
Bfly bushes, Obedient Plants--Vivid, and Agastache, salmon & pink. In the years that we have been hummingbird habitat hosts, we have never used this much nectar in one day after the 9th of September--it is a pleasure and honor to help the tiny wonders Journey South.
