Walking out the back door yesterday. Around 3:30PM My wife and I, were lucky enough to see a female ruby fliting around one of the hanging plants. It was the first hummer I've seen in a few days. She was checking out every flower on the plant. And stayed for a very long time. She flew towards the front yard. And a second later came back to the plant for a few seconds. At which point she flew towards a tree of sharon in the back yard, which is still in bloom. And then she was gone. Didn't see whether she went to the feeder or not. See you next season!
