The first Monarch butterfly I have seen this year.... and the only one so far. I even left our adjoining lot growing wild because there was a few milkweed plants there. Our Monarchs in this area have diminished greatly in the past five to eight years. This butterfly was fluttering around seemingly aimlessly and did not seem to be going anywhere, at least at the time I spotted it, at the edge of trees and shrubs and our more open back yard.
