Hummingbird Sighting (Adult Male)

Date: 09/20/2012

Number: 1

Our one last Hummy couple--boy and girl--are still visiting our hummy feeders throughout every day. They are still up to their hummy antics, chasing each other around and cheerfully chirping away. If we run low on their nectar, they hover at the kitchen door window and chirp until they get our attention. Or else, when we go outside, they fly up and hover as close as a few inches from the side of our face. Their hum is really loud then.
At one time, our neighbor counted about a dozen hummys at our front porch feeders. They surely kept us busy! Sometimes we had to cook their nectar several times daily.
