41 degrees in the hummingbird habitat this morning, warm nectar was served in the feeders, a thoughtful kindness for our chilly guests. Our small guests got up a little later this morning, it was 7:38 before we heard any chatter and saw our migrating guests. As of this morning we have sighted only two guests. The 2 inseparable friends whose company we so enjoyed resumed their Journey
South yesterday. Our 'fall hummingbird beacons' and red flags will remain in the habitat for other migrators who may be passing by. It will be our honor and pleasure to provide nectar, flowers, cover and shelter to any migrating hummers. My sister lives 2 hours South of our habitat, and told me she was seeing increased hummingbird activity in her Agastache/Ava, yesterday.
