Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/22/2012

Number: 3

43 degrees, mist--7:18 AM three migrating guests in the habitat. Our tardy birds are visiting the East habitat, and the large hummingbird container + feeder by the brick wall of the garage--both of these areas provide a little more warmth. Obtaining breakfast from the feeders, and Black & Blue salvia, Pink Lantana, Dicentra Scamdens, Pink Turtleheads. Tiny guests are rotund, and healthy. Too busy eating to talk this morning. Our habitat continues to have 18 feeders scattered throughout, the fall 'humming bird beacons' remain in place and will remain until at least 2 weeks after we have seen our last guest. To our knowledge, we have not had 3 guests on the 22 of September, until this year.
