I really can't be sure about the numbers around noon as it's hard to tell if one keeps coming back or if there are different birds coming to feed. There was a real flurry of activity around that time, so I erred on the side of caution. I continue to be amazed that there are so many coming so late in the season. (I have never tracked the numbers before.) I hope it is because they know the food source here is a reliable one for their journey south.
