I had not seen any hummingbirds feeding for about four days. There was a non stop flurry of action in mid to late August. Then the traffic dropped off. Due to the cold temps, I thought they might be done. I was pleased to spot a couple over the past weekend. All appeared to be female. I have read that the males migrate first. I was wondering if what I am seeing are the females getting ready to go south. Or if my feeders might be on other migrating hummies stop during there journey.
