Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/25/2012

Number: 3

45 degrees, 4 winged wonders in the East habitat--we may have had more guests yesterday, as when I was cleaning/refilling nectar feeders this morning I was surprised at the amount of nectar that had been consumed. There are a lot of massed hummingbird flowers that are still in bloom in the habitat--but their favorites are Black & Blue and Wendy's Wish, salvia. We are glad we protected these plants from the frost the other night, as they are being appreciated and used by our tiny guests. We do not usually have 'guests' after September 22.
