Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/26/2012

Number: 2

While the first graders were at recess, three children saw two monarchs flying overhead going west. It was a sunny day with a pretty strong breeze. It has been almost 3 weeks since we tagged and released our monarchs to join the fall migration. We were surprized to see monarchs still migrating through. There were lots of smiling faces. We check this site every week to see how far the butterflies have gotten on their journey.
