Today was a cloudy, cold windy day at Clearville Park. Low last night 42F. West wind gusting to 22 MPH. Migration along the north shore of lake Erie continued today but at a slower pace because of the wind. High 60 F. Migration continued until 3:00 PM when temp fell. Most butterflies spotted moving along the Orford Bluffs above Lake Erie which provides shelter from W wind. Butterflies are heading toward Rondeau Provincial Park 15 miles SW and Pt Pelee - 80 miles SW of Clearville Park. All they have to do is follow the lake shore. The weather man is calling for good migration weather(sunny, warmer) over the next 2 weeks.
