Signs of Fall

Date: 09/23/2012

Number: 500

We were driving along A1A, a north/south road right along the beach and saw a steady stream of hundreds of Monarchs flying south overhead. Some were alongside the road, but most were directly over the road. We assumed the warm air coming off the roadbed provided an updraft and making it easier to fly. They were flying at a pretty good clip! Beautiful to see.

Thanks so much for maintaining this site!
