Monarch Larva Sighted

Date: 09/26/2012

Number: 3

We have wild milkweed growing in our yard. As has happened the last few years, we have monarch butterfly larvae (caterpillars) on our milkweed. They only show up in the fall, in September. In past years they grow up, become a crysalis, emerge and fly away, All before winter hits in November. One generation grows up within a couple of months time, and in the fall.
