Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/26/2012

Number: 1

A single monarch has been feeding on hummingbird salvia plants. There are still many flowers in bloom here, including aster and zinnia nearby. Last week the monarchs' preference was zinnia, but with hummingbirds gone, the monarch is enjoying the salvia. There continue to be many monarchs in our area despite having several light frosts. No killing frost yet.
