Last sighting of male ruby-throated hummingbirds, September 8, 2012. Since then I have seen females and immature males. I still have one (or possibly two) females at my feeder. Shouldn't they have left within a week or two of the males??? A couple of weeks ago I saw two females at the same time, but have no way of knowing whether I now have one or two. This female(s) appears early in the morning at the feeder, disappears until noon or one o'clock, and appears sporadically until evening when she seems to take long drinks from the feeder. Each day I keep thinking she has left the previous evening, but then she appears again. Saw her this morning 9/27/12.
