Released 3 females and 1 male at 10:40am that I reared indoors. They hung around my new england asters and dwarf korean lilacs for a while. Waited for my last chrysalis to eclose around noon. Released that one, a male, at 2:00pm and spotted a female checking out the asters at that time. Later I spotted another monarch checking out the asters, too far away to see the gender. The two I spotted may have been the ones I released earlier in the day. Out of the 10 I raised indoors from eggs...7 were females and 3 were males. Can't wait for next spring to see Monarchs again.
