Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/27/2012

Number: 3

There are still 3 of them here, in a feeding frenzy for most of the day. We still have agastaches and other flowers with blooms, and they are feeding on them. They are not afraid to come close when I'm in the garden, and sometimes hover and look at me. I was standing right beside a feeder and an immature male flew in and began feeding. I was close enough to see that he had a tiny spot of red on his neck. There are also 2 females here. Usually by this time, the hummingbirds have already left. Any day now, they will be gone.
